NFC Technology

How do I get my details updated?

Information on Digital Business Cards, ICE wristbands & Pet Tags can be updated by our offices remotely, the next time you tap your card, wristband or pet tag, it will contain the new details.

What happens if I lose my card?

Unfortunately you will have to order and pay for a new card.

Can my pet tag be tracked?

No, this is just a tag with your information, so you can be contacted in the event your pet is found by a good Samaritan.

What is an I C E wristband?

This silicone wristband when scanned will contain the following information.
Name, Surname, DOB, Medical Aid details, Blood Type, Allergies, Medical Conditions, Organ Donor, ICE1:, ICE2:,ICE3:,
In the event of an accident, this information can be scanned by paramedics, or good Samaritans to help to save a loved one in need of help

Does the I C E wristband need a battery?

NFC is a wireless technology enabling contactless communication between a smartphone and a wristband.
The NFC tag is a passive (battery-less) electronic component that is embedded in the wristband.
NFC tags work without a battery and draw power from another device, e.g., a smartphone.

NFC Lifespan

The NFC (near field communication) tag is made up of an antenna and a small passive IC chip usually on a PET substrate with an adhesive backing; no power source required. Tags have a lifespan of 10 plus years.

What if my clients phone does not have NFC?

Each business card will include a QR code with exactly the same information that can be scanned onto the client phone.

How long does the battery last?

Battery life depends on the number of alerts received daily. The battery can last up to 36 months

What if the device is stolen?

As per our contract for the term of deployment, all devices must be covered under your insurance for theft and damage.

Who owns the device?

All devices are owned by DMT369 cc and only rented to the end user for a 36 month period

Can I extend my contract after 36 months?

Yes, a new contract will be entered into and a new device will be provided for the new rental term.

What if my contact information changes?

Contact our offices and our support team will update your details accordingly.

Utility Management

Can I replace my Council Meter?

NO
Only the municipality can replace your main supply meter.

Can I increase my tariff to my tenant?

NO
All tariffs must be set to the council recovery rate.
Third party vending costs can be charged.

Can I rent a meter?

We do not rent meters.

Can I install a meter & pay it off over a period?

We only offer this to bulk meters for a complex, not on single meter installations.

What if the meter goes faulty?

All meters have a 24 month warranty. After the warranty period, the meter will have to be replaced at your cost, unless you have meter maintenance with us.

What is meter maintenance

Meter maintenance is a monthly charge that covers you in the event your meters goes faulty after the warranty period.
